The American Rose Society has announced a new program the District Board would like to ask you to share with your organization:  the Master Consulting Rosarian designation.

The Master Rosarian is a Consulting Rosarian who:

• exemplifies knowledge of roses and their culture
• shows a strong and demonstrated willingness to share this knowledge with other rosarians and the general public
• provides an example of outstanding service to the local rose society and the ARS, and
• is a model of the ethical behavior exemplified in the CR program. 

The achievement of this designation by a CR is intended to recognize these outstanding volunteers and to motivate others to the same degree of excellence.

The nomination process for the Master Rosarian begins with the local society.  Anyone can submit a nomination for a Consulting Rosarian who meets the following criteria:

1)      A minimum of 10 years as a CR

2)      Outstanding demonstrated performance, as documented on nomination form.

3)      An active CR at the time of nomination.

4)      A willingness to continue to serve as a CR.

 Please review the attachment at your earliest convenience, and forward your society’s nominations to Dennis Konsmo, PNW District Consulting Rosarian Chair, as soon as possible.  Dennis’ email is below.

As you may know, there are two ARS requirements for Consulting Rosarians – regularly submitting Roses in Review, and attending the yearly CR Meeting.  You may want to forward your nominee’s names to Dennis so he can quickly check eligibility before completing the (rather extensive) nomination form.

You may nominate multiple CRs from your society, and there is further information on the attachment.

Please share this program with your Board and members,
and send your nominations to the District CR Coordinator.
